Dugard History

The late Charles Dugard established C Dugard Ltd in 1939. The company was principally involved in sub-contract manufacturing and the sale of used machine tools. The company has grown and is today involved with the sales and backup of new quality machining centres from around the world, in addition to being a major player in the supply of second hand machine tools and is still a family concern under the control of managing director Eric Dugard.

The machine is great value for money and the service and support has been excellent. We placed the order for the machine one week before Christmas and the machine was with us on 9th January 2020. It was set up and running just a couple of days later.

In 1978 after many successful years of involvement in the sales of new and used standard machine tools, the company entered the market of new CNC machine distribution. The Dugard brand supports a huge range of machinery including vertical and horizontal machining centres, CNC Lathes, CNC Machining Centres and Bridge Type Machining Centres. As the needs of the modern assembly line keep evolving, we are excited to also carry cobots by Hanwha, collaborative robots that make 24/7 production easier than ever.

For over 30 years Dugard has been one of the largest importers of CNC machines into Europe and we have a large CNC machine sales force to sell directly in the UK and Ireland. Dugard are the exclusive UK dealers for Kitamura, SMEC, Hanwha, Chevalier, Ibarmia, Tos Varnsdorf and Honor Seiki as well as our own Dugard range. We have a wide range of machinery on display at our Head Office in Hove and welcome the opportunity to offer demonstrations at your request.

This experience in sourcing machine tools of high quality as well as value for money has allowed Dugard to set up a strong agency network with some of Europe’s most respected machine tool dealers.
